In an interview from the floor with a PBS reporter, I heard Sharpton say he had
told the powers that be that he would deviate from his prepared text. His
speech must have gone over well because I read the Democratic National
Chairman, Terry McAuliff (sp?) invited Sharpton to sit in his box after the
speech.

Sharpton has the reputation as a good speaker.
