As I understand it, his aide had several meetings with them, and they promised to act upon the warnings... believe he also sent the info to *other government agencies*.

What did you want him to do, declare war on the US government? (All while Bush was pushing to even *further* privatize these services? Oh, yeah, I'm SURE they would have paid attention! :)

(He wasn't in charge of the Executive branch... Bush was. If there was malfeasance in an Executive branch agency --- and, knowing the FAA, I'm prepared to believe it --- then the chain of command must be examined. IMO, heads should have rolled at the FAA... but they still haven't.)
