As I understand it, his aide had several meetings with them, and they promised to act upon the warnings... believe he also sent the info to other government agencies. What did you want him to do, declare war on the US government? (All while Bush was pushing to even further privatize these services? Oh, yeah, I'm SURE they would have paid attention! :) (He wasn't in charge of the Executive branch... Bush was. If there was malfeasance in an Executive branch agency --- and, knowing the FAA, I'm prepared to believe it --- then the chain of command must be examined. IMO, heads should have rolled at the FAA... but they still haven't.)
