BroadSt, yup, the Bush economic record is sad. Greenspan is partly to blame, but he is also partly to blame for the Reagan mess, the recovery under the real Bush, and the boom under Clinton. But Dubya will be the first President since Hoover to preside over negative job growth. Not that he gives a damn about working Americans, but he has to pretend like he does this year to sucker them into the polls. And he is the first since WWII to preside over two years in a row of negative nominal gross income growth. True, adjusted for inflation, many other Prez's join the ranks. But a nominal income decline is pretty hard to achieve when Greenspan is giving credit away like samples at the Hershey factory.
