My point was countering your claim that people's opposition to war was primarily based on the allegations that we are doing bad things in Vietnam. That is nonsense. When people realized that their own butts (or their children's) were on the block, that's when they came out to protest in large numbers. By and large, the people couldn't care less if our soldiers did or didn't butcher Vietnamese people.
