I don't think that you go far enough. All humans are born with a beast within who can kill under the right circumstances. We also are social creatures who have a strong desire to belong to a group of other like minded individuals. All groups are religious in that they have a set of imposed rules and beliefs. Even you, while you seek to differentiate yourself as being on a higher plane of scientific thought, have pre defined beliefs and rules that you follow. Nevertheless, there are circumstances that would cause you to revert to the beast within to protect or hold onto those things that are important in your life. There are those who believe in Christ, yet choose to seek his truths on a plane of existence that dismisses the traditions of man and attempts to find his truth by seeking the same things you do. Our belief is that the spirit of God is within us to help us to find those things that we hold dear to our heart and souls and to grow toward the likeness of Christ. You like to think that you are different but I only see you in the same big boat as the rest of us- plagued by self pride and egotism. (smile) James
