I'm not sure this is the case here. As an example, I did buy a rental property (condo) this year using 5 (!) credit card offers (mostly 2.99-3.99% for the life of the loan). Yes, it's a free money, even comparing to second house mortgages with closing fees, etc. BTW, the condo got rented next day after the closing, and gained ~15% in market price since then (6 months or so).
