Not only that, the Bradley fighting vehicle was a notorius pork barrel thing, beloved by the military-industrial complex. It was originally supposed to be a vehicle to counter the Soviet BMP, an capable armored troop carrier. The Bradley evolved into a poorly armoured mini tank. A hilarious movie was made about development process, but I can't remember the name. One of the true facts in the movie was how the Army kept faking the shells they were testing it with, because they kept penetrating the armour!

Cheney and Bush Sr. agreed with most Kerry defense votes, Time Magazine found when reviewing Bush's dishonest Tv ad attacking Kerry's voting record. And upon further examination, every one of Kerry's votes was for a very good reason almost all of us can agree with, like dismantling Cold War systems no longer needed and trying to balance the budget. That BTW was a BI-PARTISAN move. the rightwing is totally hypocritical on this issue. Then, Kery voted FOR the biggest defense budget of all ttime, the one we have now.
