OK, so Kerry's foragainst slavery reparations. Why did he tell the NAACP he supported reparations legislation?

Q: Do you support or oppose reparations (for slavery) legislation, H.R. 40, as introduced in the House of Representatives by Congressman John Conyers (D-MI)?
Bush: No response.
Kerry: Support.

Kind of hard to tell what Kerry would actually do. He answers yes when the NAACP asks if he supports reparations legislation, but at other times he says he's against reparations. Just like voting for the $87B, before he voted against it. Or voting for the Congressinal Resolution on the war, but opposing retroactively the war to appease voters attracted by Howard Dean.

You know if he can't stand up to the NAACP or Howard Dean, how is he gonna handle the Al Qaida's and Saddam's of the world?
