Don't forget about how Doctors Without Borders, after 24 years of continued presence, has abandoned the country. They survived the Soviets, the civil war, and the Taliban, yet are fleeing during our supposedly 'peaceful' occupation. Shows just how bad things are in that country. We went in with a lot of promises about 'freeing the people' and 'rebuilding the country', and instead have created a huge cesspool. Why? Because Bush wasn't really concerned about Afghanistan, the Taliban, or even Al Qaeda; his real target all along has been Saddam and pursuing the neocon dream of democratic colonization of the Middle East.
