You're right, Libya is just an oil deal. Bushies never disarmed them of anything they didn't want to get rid of already. Gaddafi had been begging the western world to drop sanctions for more than a decade. He had in the meantime become a moderate Arab (though still a weird one). He sits on lakes of sweet light crude which is all the reason Bushies needed to cozy up to him. Bush-cheney lied about diarming Libya and lied about their reasons for doing so. Bushie oilmen win, and the rest of us lose.
