Interesting post and comments. Those ex commies in China seem to be large and in charge of all things economic these days though. They are redefining capitalism. Japan has also done in the past too of course, they realized a government actively involved with the counties economic progress was an important side of the success equation.

Britains and the USA governments attitude seems to be only focused on the countries economic demise.

Hawkmoon,I visited my son in Beijing,where he has his own manufacturing company.What I see is a country that is slowly and orderly moving towards the capitalist system.(Maybe Jay would care to comment on this)Russia on the other hand moved to quickly on this and now faces chaos in a lot of the country.
Cuba is also slowly moving to the capitalist system as most major manufacturing nations are represented there,much to the chagrin of the USA.
