Not just that, but I think many of the owners are too. Not of the buildings, but the companies that run the parking garages.

Eeek. I already hate underground parking garages, I wish you hadn't mentioned this. ;^)

I did not pursue a career with Justice Dept. in New York that was dangled before me because the office was in the WTC and I hate really tall buildings. I have recurring nightmares about elevators in skyscrapers that snap loose from the cables and go into freefall. I think now I will have recurring nightmares about being squashed flat in an underground parking garage.
