interesting point. however, my guess is that given the current war on terrorism and the problems in Iraq, Clinton would have been roasted for his draft-dodging if he were running in this election (assuming his opponent had actually fought in the war)

Maybe the Demos were wrong. Maybe the fundamental flaw of Clinton (his arrogance of power) could be traced back to avoidance of service in Vietnam. Maybe Bush and Clinton share that same flaw, that same arrogance, that same lack of appreciation of what war really means.
