while that may be true, it was also likely due (at least in part) to the period of time during which Clinton was President. People didn't care about much except for the fact that they were making money hand-over-fist in the stock market. i was speaking hypothetically, if Clinton were the new democratic Candidate in this presidential election, and if he were running against an opponent who had actually volunteered for service. I think his treatment in the press would have been far different.
