Kerry will be a very strong national defense president, don't worry. But he will not waste our money and will give us a smarter, mor realistic military designed to fight real threats we face today not old Cold War boogey men.

Most of the votes you're talking about came during the time when 1) Kerry was more liberal vs. Reagan
2) The bi-partisan post Cold War peace dividend.
Kerry has changed since the 1980's on defense issues, and especially after 9-11.

Now look at the votes Kerry made for defense budgets. Every single weapon system the GOP accuses him of voting against he also voted for. heh heh Plus, Kery voted for the biggest defense budget of all time, our current one. So much for that argument.
