Told you so....(*)

The witness who drew the most attention from the commission was Ángel Acebes, the interior minister in the previous government who was the public face of his party's initial insistence that ETA, the Basque terrorist organization, was behind the attacks.

His testimony lasted more than 10 hours. Throughout, Acebes never backed away from his assertion that in the days after the attacks the clues suggesting Islamic terrorism were not as convincing as those suggesting ETA.

Acebes continued to say that ETA was the primary suspect through the afternoon of March 13, two days after the attacks.

The police say that the evidence suggesting Islamic terrorism was already strong the day of the attacks, and that it became overwhelming two days later when officers moved to arrest three men who were suspected of having connections with Islamic militants.

Acebes told the commission that he still wondered if ETA was involved.

The commission said it would reconvene in early September. It left open the possibility of calling more witnesses.

Got the picture, Ray??? 311 was purported to be Spain's 911... Yet, as the above scrap suggests, the March 3 bombings in Madrid were very likely executed by DOMESTIC terrorists, namely, ETA members. Now, if 311 was domestic terrorism and a 911 replica THEN 911 too was domestic terrorism (read: militia underground) --QED!
