Agree. Even at 50 dollars I'd say it's still too expensive. I might be willing to pay half that amount.
If this thing opens north of 120 we're going to see some major volatility.

I think that YHOO and MSFT would love to crush GOOG, but it's not going to be that easy. MSFT has the tremendous disadvantage that any solution they come up with has to run on Windows, and while that might not be crippling, they haven't yet managed to demonstrate that it's possible. The technology that GOOG has is much more impressive than most people realize, although presumably people on this list are more sophisticated than average.

Google has their work cut our for them, but there are a lot of first-rate people there that are keenly aware of this and working very hard. That said, I would have been very happy to invest in Google 4 years ago, or even last year, but I don't like the circus, so I'm not getting involved in this IPO.

msft was late to the web party. They've played catch-up at every web trend. Gates had to be dragged kicking and screaming to realize that the web was going to be important.

Their innovative jucies are dried up.
