>>There are millions of double blind studies by now and they all see this Void.

Really? You have any objective data for this? The essence of scientific data is that it is quantifiable and objective - ie. anybody can measure it.

Firstly whether the Void itself is measurable is an interesting exercise, you should try it sometime. The Void is a named conception for what lies at the heart of things. There are hundreds of objective scientific tests that describe this space in their own terms. If you really want to dig, suggest you use ST’s last post as a starting point and work backwards to find the hundreds of modern experiments and how it is that they describe this space, and how things emerge out of it. Read the pce on synthetic biology I posted to discover what they are finding. No inherent substance. Now one thing is for sure, is that you say that this has to be something that anybody can measure, and I know for sure that I am incapable of measuring Anything remotely resembling what you would call a modern science experiment. What am I to do.

If it can't be measured, if it can't be replicated, if anybody can't do repeated experiments to test your hypotheses, then it might be great stuff but it's not science.

Well to begin with measuring or seeing this stuff can take hundreds of years and it has. Make that thousands. How many times does it have to be said that right here right now there are experiments going on with Monks that have to do with physical health and the effects of meditation practice. Your scientists are finding that they can take measurements of my scientists and the results can be replicated. Nadine this is super science, there is nothing more to be said.

Truly, you seem quite unclear on the concept.

Thanks for your opinion.

Far be it from me to denigrate anybody's religious faith, but faith in Heaven or the Void does not make it scientific fact.

Whats amazing to me is how someone can clearly state that they do not consider themselves to be a Buddhist and then get an argument in return, that one’s faith does not make anything a scientific fact. Bizarre but anyway, very problematic. What I was attempting to say and perhaps this is clearer is that the Middle Way is scientific by virtue of the method by which it was produced, this has nothing to do with faith and what you believe in. Any clearer?
