Amy, re: Separate from Fica, the govt needs to create a "10% of your income is forced retirement savings", where this money is put into people's brokerage accounts (like an IRA), not the govt's hands. I was preaching, just this past Friday to some young folks I work with the old mantra "pay yourself first". If everybody put away that 10%, there would be few problems retirement. But I'm not sure you could make it law. re: No one would want a draft. I do, politically. It helps clarify all the issues surrounding military action. John
