Makes sense, if they keep at it they can drive us so crazy that we almost welcome an attack just to get the damned thing over with.

People forget that what makes terrorism effective isn't the body count, it's the fear it inspires.

Things are very fishy with this alert and here are the reasons why:

1. Just a few days ago Tom Ridge expressed a desire to leave the Cabinet. Was he frustrated because he felt his hands were tied to go and issue this alert and he did not want to? he did cite as a reason that he wanted to make more money to put his kids through college. But he knew that this position did not make much money all along? Why now suddenly.

2. The alert comes just 2 days after the Demo convention. Boston is where the hijackers passed through before they flew the planes into WTC. Wouldn't there be a greater chance to hit the Fleet Center?

3. Notice how the alerts were issued at only the two locations that Bush is supposed to be in the next 30 days; New York and DC.? What happened to the West Coast alert that they put out during the Democratic party convention? Wouldn't the terrorists want to strike where and when you least expect them to?

There is something fishy here. I salute Dean for his boldness on the TV interview yesterday which I watched live.
