Ann, the race for President is split about evenly between the Democrats and the
Republicans. I thought the Democratic National Convention was good. Did you
see John Edwards' speech? A vote for Kerry would also be a vote for Edwards.
I think you should consider it.

It's good to see you back on the forum. I hope you've had a good summer.

cheers!

If I am not mistaken, there's a lot more Republicans these days vowing to vote for Kerry than disgruntled Democrats recommending that Bush be given another 4 years!

The recent Iraqi attacks on Christian churches in Iraq should help Bush.

To be sure, Christians, in particular the fundamentalists, will rally more strongly than ever in support of Bush. And ignoramuses and those lacking in discernment will be wont to say, "Didn't I tell you since 9/11 that this conflict is solely between Islam and Christianity? Didn't you know that America is Satan as far as the Moslems are concerned and, as such, America had to be destroyed? So we have to defeat the Moslems at all costs. It is a matter of our survival."

However, some cynics believe the attacks were "instigated" or "staged" for reasons that should be obvious to one and all by now.

As far as I am concerned, those cynics cannot be blamed for their thinking since this Bush Administration has had a history of telling baldfaced lies and downright dishonesty!

Zell Miller and Kerry have the exact same defense budget voting records in the Senate. Howabout that huh?

So much for that phony GOP issue. Zell Miller was exposed by Tim Russert about this on MTP yesterday. Zell is a real BS artist these days. He also attacked anyone who supports gay or abortion rights, then was reminded the GOP is putting such people in three prime time spots during its convention, along with poor Zell who is bound to be thoroughly discredited by then for his co-called "weak on defense" voting record.

Zell also claimed Dems can't win in the south but the last two elections in the south have been won by Dems. LOL
