16:09 TIVO TiVo sinks on NDS Group's deal with DirecTV (5.34 -0.31)

TiVo shares fell 5.5% after British rival NDS (NNDS) said on its earnings conference call that it would supply DirecTV, TiVo's largest reseller of the TiVo service, with a competing digital video-recording service starting in Q1 2005. TiVo still has a deal to offer its recorders to DirecTV through 2007.

tell me what is the plan of action for a terror alert. Say you are employed in a financial institution which is the target for these things. What do you do? 1) shut down the company, 2) tell your staff to stay home from work, 3) come to work with firearms- what?

If there is nothing anybody can do about some situation we are better off not knowing. These terror alerts are costing our local governments a fortune. We had one of those in California a few years ago and they shut down EVERY BRIDGE. There needs to be a little more planning put into this system.
