Bob, it's nice to see the market to continue upward. I hope it will continue. And I expect it will for a while but we need more volume on these up days. The volume was quite low in the SOX components except for INTC today.

Don't get too excited because there is far too much overhead resistance unless we get institutional buyers stepping up and loading the boat with both fists!

As we have all noticed, and commented upon during these past months, the analyst community has attempted to "define" a cycle for the semi-equips. The "runup" in prices from Oct 02 to Jan 04 was enough for these "entities", and they sold off their shares, and are now waiting for a new bottom so they can buy again.

During the past 6 months, they have continued to "stick to their guns" and predict a flat 2H04 and a down 2005. In the meantime, semi sales are growing and semi-equip bookings are still on the upswing.

So far, so good. Given that the SIA forecast holds true for the next quarter, the flat 2H05 will not come to pass even if the last quarter shows very little gain. IMO, the bears are way out in "left field" somewhere, but you have to give them credit, they have had a "lock" on buying sentiment over the past 6 months. As RtS likes to say, if the institutional investors don't come back, this market isn't going anywhere.

We shall see, what we shall see, over the next several months, but I still think we have a good rally coming in the near term future.
