Looks like fund managers and institutions waited a day to digest the SNDK presentation before putting their money to work.

Approaching 1 mil shares traded the first hour, with nice up ticks. Added more to my position this morning. SNDK appears to be going against the overall zigzagging of the naz this morning, but moves up much higher when naz does move up. Nice action!

I think it is safe to say that the first mid-tier MP3 enabled handsets for both Motorola (e398/T-Flash) and Nokia (6230/MMC) are pretty big hits. A successful Nokia handset probably measures its sales in the millions per quarter.

11:10 NOK Nokia supply issue seen as a positive -- A.G. Edwards (11.42 +0.02)

WSJ Europe reports Nokia is unable to meet demand for its 6230 model, one of its most popular phones, undermining efforts to reverse market share declines. Co cannot secure components fast enough for 6230, which has a built-in camera, built-in music player and FM radio (subsidized price of $150-$200 at retail). Yet some analysts see the supply issue as a nice problem; NOK needed a hit product, and now has one. "This is an early indication the company getting things back on track," said Greg Teets, analyst with A.G. Edwards, in an interview, noting it'll take more than one hit product to affect NOK's quarter. Teets says that NOK is starting to sell the 6230 in some Cingular stores in the U.S.
