I've been debating whether Kerry and Edwards are lying to us when they say that they're going to maintain the tax cuts for "98% of America"... we cannot afford to do that, but nobody has ever won an election declaring that he/she will raise taxes... just ask Walter Mondale or George HW Bush.

I'm telling you, it's all marketing, not truth. If a focus group said Bush would win if he married Dick Cheney in Golden Gate Park, he would do it.

There is a huge amount of $'s and power in this election, that's why they are spending over a $Billion in advertising. It's not like a consumer product ad, where if you blow it you lose market share. In this case, if you blow it you go out of business.

It's a big deal.
