It's my gut feeling Kerry will win easily. Why:

... Gore won in 2000 by 500,000. I can't see anyone who voted for Gore turning around and now voting for Bush.

... Florida isn't going to happen again

...The Bush negative campaign ads are going to backfire. Bush spent $50 million in negative advertising in the spring and the results are... what?

... The Bush operatives have tried to distort Kerry's record and Kerry is aggressively defending it. I've had people say seeing 12 of the 13 guys who served on Kerry's boat supporting him for President erased their doubts about his Viet Nam service.

... There are other shoes to drop in the Bush White House. The Pentagon, the intelligence services and other government agencies feel abused and misused by the Bushites. Someone knows who leaked in the Valerie Plame case... a criminal matter, by the way... and I suspect it will come out before November.

... The uniformed military brass opposed the Iraqi invasion. Now the troops and their families, including the National Guard units that have been activated for more than a year to do jobs they weren't trained for, are less and less confident in Bush's leadership.

... the economy ain't that good.

... Bush has yet to articulate a vision for the future, and that's an intangible that's going to weigh on voters minds when they get serious in November

... health care... I don't know of anyone - except government employees who get fully paid insurance - who isn't deeply concerned about where the ever rising premiums are headed. Health insurance is now a big ticket item for most families and band aids aren't going to help.

... I have a wide circle of friends and many who voted Bush in 2000 are unhappy with his performance. I suspect, if asked, they would out of habit say they would vote for Bush again - but when they reconcile their thoughts before voting in November, it will be for Kerry.

JMHO...
