Why don't you see the frigging movie? I knew Congressman Charlie Wilson of Houston. He ended up covertly championing the Afghani resistance led by a chrismatic warior named Osama Bin Lauden. Apparently, Osama was insulted after the war or something. We helped train and him and arm him. He his his own money. This was during the Reagan years not the Carter years. Carter was a peacemaking christian not a warrior, though he had been a top office on a nuclear submarine. BTW: I will always wonder who FUBARED that Carter Iran rescue mission. How could so many things go so wrong so perfectly coordinated? Do you believe Reagan was using Iran-Contra types to engineer the holding the release of the Iran hostages? Why wouldn't he? It helped him win. What we know from Bushie-CIa types is that - anything to win - is the mantra.
