John,
His record is liberal. So was FDRs and JFKs and LBJs. Few now will question their ability to be presidential. Fast forward back to 2000. Did bush really show you anything at all? Nah and pre-9/11 his isolationist go it alone tendencies were set up for a very poor presidency. 9/11 changed everything and he rose to the occasion. Iraq is what brought him down and it continues to regardless of what the polyannas on this thread continue to say. Hopefully there will be a successful outcome in iraq but it certainly wont be perceived as such by november. Who in iraq is going to stop the kidnappings? Who in iraq is going to stop the car and truck bombings? Who will protect the christians? Who will protect the damn truck drivers? Who will keep the private companies from leaving in droves?
Yes i know there are good stories in iraq to but whats happening now in the triangle negates it all. Either we have to use extreme force in conjunction with the iraqi government regardless of the reaction to collateral damage or we really do have to start preparting an exit strategy for our troops. We cannot sit there impotent like this for much longer. Let the iraqis have their civil war. Let them split up like an ameoba. Shiaa in south should be able to survive as a rump state propped up by iran. Kurds are very well able to protect themselves. We should help them both. The triangle will have to sort itself out. mike

You are correct John... I expect democrat are so pissed not being in power they will do or say anything to get a vote. And we are seeing that every single day. NEVER have any of us (who are of a 'few years") seen ANY election so rancorous.....and really, look where it is coming from. Gore, Daschle, Pelosi, Kennedy, Dean, Byrd and all the etcs..... ALL trying to make Kerry look better.

Shoot, his own wife only shows how far off base he is. Listen to her. (Unfortunately)

Ever notice that nearly every picture of Kerry he has his fist closed, and it's headed to the sky....or his finger pointing... And every other word he says is "fighting"....

Nothing of substance...just lots of "we are fighting".....
