I didnt mean to be. I apologize. To be honest i thought i was answering John and i have alot going on here at work. And with two little grandkids this terror stuff really upsets me. Whenever this happens i travel back in time to 9/11. I have serious flashbacks to that day and each time i think of something horrible that i saw that i apparently had blocked out. I find it hard not to cry and harder still to imagine this as a future for our kids and grandkids. Put me on the Strangelove plane and i will personally deliver the nuke to bin laden. I would do it in a heartbeat. I will try to address your post more coherently later in the day. mike@trainwreck.com

....but a general comment on how desperate we are as a nation right now in terms of leadership. It's hardly a question of desperation, but of apathy, when nearly 50 % of the voting age population hasn't been bothering in recent elections. And the intellectual dumbing down and shortening of attention span that has accompanied the "transfer of power" from print media to television that has been going on for some time now. You surely have heard the phrase "lesser of two evils" ? At any rate, it will be interesting to see what kind of voter turnout there will be come November.
