A reason to keep traveling, or was it just curiosity.?

Maybe it was politics.

How about they couldn't stand to live under the rules that were imposed upon them by tribal leaders. I don't know much about early man, but if there were large congregations of them massed in small areas, rules had to exist.

Four generations ago my ancestors traveled west by wagon train to Washington state from the Atlantic coast in search of freedom from idiotic rules and laws set down by town leaders. They either couldn't or wouldn't live by those rules, so they chose to migrate.
