You might be right based on today's polls. About mid-September is when I will take the polls serious. Now, they are mostly noise. Gives us and the media something to talk about each day.

Also, the debates may carry more weight than previously thought. The deviousness of kerry versus the plain speak of Bush. I am interested to see if kerry will try rattle Bush by getting him off his debate plan. Even the debate between Cheney and edwards will be enjoyable. edwards will "play to the jury" and tug at the mother's heart strings. Cheney is a skillful speaker. Not sure how he will handle his role.

I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that if you talk to all your friends and co-workers in and around New York, and watch the mainstream TV shows and listen to the mainstream radio shows, there will be no doubt whatsoever in your mind that Kerry is winning.

When Nixon was elected, the East Coast establishment was in shock because nobody they knew voted for him.

The election hinges, not on New York, but on Ohio, Pennsylvania, and a few other states like that. The people you know call that "flyover country" and it may as well not exist for all they care.
