Don't be so sure about the debates. Bush made mincemeat out of Ann Richards, a very sharp, very quick debater, in the Texas election debates.

I posted some stuff on this before, but I can't remember the author or where I found it. A very perceptive piece that details how Bush kill opponents at debates despite having some flaws in his presentation. I'm going to look for it in my 15 minute edit time, and will post it if I find it.

Jay Severin said kerry would beat bush handily in a debate

In the minds of hapless major networks, I suspect that kerry will win the debates. The ? is what will the average person who will be voting think? IMO Bush will do well. As an aside, here is an query for the kerry supporters: If kerry is such a terrific debater, why didn't he have a more stellar senate career? Oh well, it probably really doesn't matter anyway.
