'If I injure myself, that is my problem - My health insurance is paid up.' ....yes.....and it will be such a comfort to those who loved you if you die I wasn't trying to pick on you, RD. And I know nothing of your politics. But this attitude toward "safety" is what I refer to as the "national nanny" approach. People who insist on my protecting myself from something because "it is good for me." It has resulted in all sorts of restrictive laws being passed to keep me from doing things that are none of anybody else's business. And this "busybody" attitude comes from both left and right.
