I'd rather spend the $100b on that two, or on going to Mars or anything else that inspires people.

It's hard for kids to draw inspiration from this Iraq crap. When I was a kid we had the Apollo project, there was something worthwhile.

In Denmark there were wind turbines literally everywhere. Granted, on the average that is a windier place with seas on each side. The turbines pay for themselves in an average 5 years and are mostly privatly owned, one at a time.

They were not noisy and didn't seem to be killing birds (They actually turn slower than you might think).
