I know for a fact that Bush called Clymer an a-hole one-on-one to Cheney without realizing that the mike was on. And my understanding is that Cheney was talking to Leahey face to face without a public audience as well, although aides were present.

Kerry and his wife, in contrast, were speaking to reporters, presumably for public consumption.

KyrosL, I can't blame any of those three for what they said. I appreciate a person that calls 'em as he sees 'em. Politics is no place to pussy foot around.

I'd rather be told to go F**k myself that referred to as a "lying, cheating bunch" in a very public place.

Cheney uttered those words in the Senate cloak room

Nice piece of revisionist history KyrosL.

Kerry, his wife & cronies have several instances of public curses &/or their public support of those who hurl meanspirited obscenities. I'm not aware of any deliberate instances of Bush, Cheney or their spouses intentionally cursing publicly or their support of the meanspitited use of obscenities. Here is a more accurate description of reality......

- George W. Bush once leaned toward Cheney's ear & called a reporter ''a major-league a-hole.'', unaware the microphone near him picked up his private comment. The liberal media made this a huge issue for weeks.

- Cheney's "go f*ck yourself" response to senator Leahy's repeated Halliburton slanders was made privately in chambers. It was not made in public. The liberal media made it a huge issue for weeks.

- John Kerry intentionally used the f-word in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine alleging Bush f-'d up in Iraq. "Did I expect George Bush to f - - - it up as badly as he did?" The liberal media reported it without denouncing Kerry at all.

- Teresa Heinz Kerry, microphone in hand at a rally speaking to Bush supports chanting "Four more years", said, "They want four more years of hell." John Kerry later supported his wife's cursing & called those Bush supporters, "goons". So far, the liberal media is treating this as a non-issue.

- Kerry telling folks that Bush & his Admin was, "the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen." The words are not curse words, but they are as obscene as they are false. Kerry gets more excuses from the liberal media for Kerry's obscene lies than negative publicity.

And let's not forget.....

- that a John Kerry/John Edwards fund-raiser at which they were present was filled with obscenity-laced humor, after which both Kerry & Edwards both spoke highly about the outrageous behavior that had been on display.

- a Howard Dean fund-raiser at which he was present was filled with obscenity-laced humor
