Liberals despise the two-party system -- thus their attempts to destroy the opposition by any means. The concept of political correctness has no place for dissent. And Marxism already has been proven to be a failure unless individual rights and freedoms are destroyed. We're dealing with people who have Marxist objectives and values, marketed using today's "softer" and more sophisticated approach than in the early 1900's. Same thing, though. Loss of personal freedom, values, property, and individuality, in favor of the state. Hillary Clinton recently summed it up in a speech: "We're going to take some things away from you for the common good."
