Iran is a potential ally, once the mullahs exit. I dont want to make them an enemy in the visceral sense. I dont know how to deal with them. A peaceful democratic iran with nukes doesnt frighten me. Iran, Turkey, Israel can be our bulwarks against arab primitivism and fundamentalism.
Question for you John. Besides the usual explanation of countering israeli nukes, why do you think the mad dash to nukes by the mullahs? Maybe more to it. Maybe they see a Sunni enemy surrounding them from pakistan to iraq? Maybe some deterrence there needed they think? I cant figure out these mullahs but i dont believe they will launch nukes at israel and trade tehran for tel aviv as one of the mullahs once said they would. Mike
