Hope so. If the bush election were not in doubt, i would have expected war to either be ratcheted up in iraq or a timetable for withdrawl adopted.
But bush may actually lose. So my question is how to use iraq in a way to garner some votes. So if withdrawl was to be the policy, level with the american people. Sit in front of the camera. Be a sympathetic figure. Say things like "the last four years has been hell for me and for the country. As in all wars some things have gone very well and other not so well. This is my plan."
Aggressive go out and try to win the election by recapturing just a bit of the affection you had on 9/11 and immediately thereafter. Admit mistakes. America wants a leader who levels with them. Good news is flip flop man is totally dishonest but that is not enough when americans people are not happy and out shopping for a new leader. Since kerry is not an edsel, bush will need to be seen as greater value. Mike
