"The public knows a fake horse when it sees one. It also knows when it is confronted by a fake leader who once more is trying to fake his real character by hiding behind an attempt at myth and mythology. "

Not just yet. If the right plays into their hands by meeting kerry vets with anti-kerry vets who are obscessed with kerry because of his post nam antics, they will lose and kerry campaign will have some credibility. Eye on the prize requires examination of kerrys post vietnam record or lack therof, not some 50 something embittered vets saying kerrys purple heart is bogus because he took it in the cheeky part of his arse. Drudge and UW cant rant on about this and only hurt the cause. Republicans should remember what their dem counterparts learned from them over the years--concentrate of winning, not on being right or fighting high moral battle about things in the past. Republicans doomed themselves in the 50s and 60s by continuing the attack on FDR. Dems did this with reagan until this year. Now we are falling into the kerry trap, the dems have set for us. mike
