Don't you think that he needs to be more optimistic? He just can't project it?

I disagree with your comments about other presidents. Sept 11th changed Bush - for the better. I have every confidence that any of the last 10 presidents would have behaved the same way. Carter is the only one I am not sure about...

And if I were to criticize Bush on war of terror, I would say that send 50K troops into Afghanistan/Pakistan and get Osama, send 20K troops into Iraq and Get Zarqavi. It is ABOUT TIME.

Put Iraq issue aside...
There's one big difference between Bush and Clinton's war on terror. Bush skillfully uses diplomatic channel to get Pakistan joining us to fight against terrorists, what had Clinton done with Pakistan in 8 years? Pakistan's Intelligent Agency used to have closed tie with Taliban while Maiden Albright was dancing Macarena at UN floor. IMO, Knowing those culture of back-door dealing, the disclosure of Pakistan's smuggling ring by its nuclear godfather scientist is very significant.
