we were on our way to a draft when clinton left office. he made a mess of the military just like jimmy carter did. yeah you probably forgot about the fact that the army couldn't get their tanks out of the motor pools. didn't have parts.... cannabilizing other tanks to get a few on range, but couldn't do a whole lot because they didn't have mechanics either..... this is the closest we ever came to being invaded by a communist power.... we were impotent. that changed very quickly when President Reagan assumed his duties as Commander-in-Chief.
