I am aware that lawyers don't do consensus facilitation and would not likely recognize the process. It's not a lawyerly kind of thing. Entirely different approach and skill set. It is used primarily in large organizations. I know that it's used sometimes in international agreements although negotiation dominates--the folks who trained me were at Camp David with Carter. I have used it both internally and in dealings between government and industry or the community. No lawyers in sight.
