for sure that does NOT qualify as a peak >

1.) As long as inventories aren't excessively rising at their fabless customers.

2.) As long as unit demand continues to increase over time, rational capacity expansion will be needed. (Somebody feel free to quote the demand expansion rates) I think Brian has pointed out that units now far exceed the peak in year 2000.

3.) We certainly are not in some sort of current 'electronics' bubble like the runup into year 2000. Heavy infrastructure building from scratch, etc.
Should a new hot idea or application substantially increase demand then all these stocks will again reach their bubble valuations quicker than you can say Merrill is a Pimp.
