I respect your opinion. People have different beliefs and reasons for selecting a candidate, or how they vote. Our purpose here is to not to criticize one's vote, but instead to discuss. Thanks for your post.

BTW, Chinu is a liar and while he is an extreme liberal that wants to be taken care of, I would not have a problem if he was not so dishonest. I left that thread because I would not associate with him in the real world, and I choose to do the same with his kind here too.

I'd agree with almost all of that. The alliance between the Christian Right and the Republican party makes me want to upchuck. It has at times resulted in me voting for Dems. I had to hold my nose while doing it, but I did it.

I have mixed feelings about the war on drugs. I believe the arguments about how harmful they are to individuals and that the young and ignorant get trapped and killed by them. At the same time, the war has been a disasterous, expensive failure. It may have, in fact, increase the drug supply in the US because there is so much profit to be made from a successful operation.
