Thank God.

There have been too many warnings when nothing happened.

Yep, these days I have seen some people literally yawn when they hear one of these things. Other folks laugh cynically and ask if something had happened to negatively affect Dumbya's ratings... And I suspect even his fans know that it is nothing more than a ploy.

Geez, Kenneth...

I think the public is experiencing similar fatigue.

Why don't you take a poll? Better yet, why don't you give us more of your anecdotal evidence to support your claim?

For example, you could tell us about one of your "neighbors" that has also experienced this fatigue which you describe. Then you could make a quantum leap by asserting that because of your "evidence" everybody is experiencing this phenomenon. LOL! :)

Ken, remember the story of the boy who cried WOLF when there was no wolf. Those who rushed to help him in his time of terror were angry. They decided to ignore him from then on. They had grown fatigued in responding to the boy's many false alarms. Finally, after those numerous false cries, a wolf actually emerged from the dark and foreboding forest. The boy cried out again but no one came to help. You know what happened to the little chap.

So, in the War on Terror, we have to cry out and sometimes the Wolf fails to appear. But when he does appear again, the fact that we continue to cry will have had its effect. And when the Wolf is for real, we will have cried out in desirable anticipation of that event and we will be ready.

So, in the meantime, the public will begin to weary of the wolf cries that turn out to have been in vain. They will begin to criticize the crier of Wolf which might cause the wolf crier to become a bit chagrined. He might be tempted to cease his vigilance and to no longer cry out despite all evidence to the contrary.

It doesn't take much imagination to figure out what the public would say about the wolf crier if the crier, because of his chagrin, had finally decided to remain silent. The wolf finally appears, his jaws red from shed blood and looking for more? But the crier, discouraged by the lack of public interest and their past vilification of his efforts, no longer cries out despite all evidence to the contrary. The public would want him lynched or boiled in oil for his dereliction of duty.

Isn't this what the Demos and the other leftest camp followers have tried to do to Bush re: 9/11 before the evidence contradicted their desires? They were hoping that the partisan 9/11 Commission and the Clarks (both of them) and Moore and his band of vultures would PROVE that Bush had failed to cry wolf and thus prevent the destruction of the twin towers. He lied, they said, and now he deserves to be booted out of office.

Now, these same disappointed troops are the ones complaining about the cries of wolf when the wolf fails to appear.

So I guess it OK for you to feel "terror warning fatigue". Better that than terrorist activity truly destroy your sleep rather than destroy you.

Wolf! Wolf! There is no wolf.

But then again, there is a wolf and he may in fact be at the door. So ignore the door or bar the door or open the door with a handy shotgun loaded and ready to fire.

What would you suggest Ken?

I know what I will recommend. I will recommend keeping Kerry close to Teresa's side and Bush in the White House because it is Bush who hold the loaded shotgun while Kerry only holds his breath at the strange words Teresa hurls at her witless world.

I am getting terrorism warning fatigue. I think the public is experiencing similar fatigue. There have been too many warnings when nothing happened.

They had no choice........Bush is not doing well in the polls.

Nowadays, the only ones who believe these alerts are the Bushies and even they have their doubts. This has got to be the most discredited administration in the history of the US.
