Kerry applied for a draft deferment to attend the Sorbone in France but was denied.... he then picked what he thought would be the least dangerous branch of service, the Navy, and joined as an officer. through further maneuvering he ended up on a Swift boat in the Mekong Delta.....with a 8mm camera....less than 120 days later he was on a plane home........ with 3 purple hearts, a Silver star and a Bronze star...... and an agenda........ he gave the medals to himself, he wrote it up, he instituted it, he saw it through.... 2 of his purple hearts were superficial, 1 was real. ask any vet what he thinks about this guy and his war deeds............ regards from Chucky PS... this is not over yet.....his military exploits will be his downfall.....
