I hear, from one I know rather well that you can divide our Vietnam vets into two fine groups: those who were in actual fire-fights, and those who backed them up in supporting roles behind the lines. All heroes.

The group that saw combat, at times were so mad at seeing their comrades dying, and being blown to pieces, killed many of those who COULD be Vietcong, not always knowing that for sure, as their opponents were guerillas, not with uniforms.

It was a bad war, a mistaken war, one perpetuated by politics, and politicians, and one that was never DECLARED to even be a war. They called it a CONFLICT.
They called Korea a CONFLICT.
