George Bush had his geography book upside down. The enemy's homeland was, and remains, Afghanistan and Northern Pakistan, not Iraq. Three years after Bush said he wanted public enemy #1, Osama bin Laden, "dead or alive" Osama is still quite alive and apparently plotting new attacks against our domestic financial institutions, according to Bush's Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge.

There's a reason for that. The president kept our nation safe by taking the fight to the enemy's homeland, rather than having the battle fought in our streets and cities here at home.
