I just ordered my Yard Sign from the GWB internet store. I paid $12.71 for it, including shipping charges. I ordered it online because I got tired of waiting for the Evanston Republican Organization to begin distributing yard signs and other promotional materials. They are still waiting for shipments.

I don't know why this material is so late in coming. Might have something to do with the delayed Republican Convention.

Whatever. I live in a solidly Democratic state and an even more solidly Democratic Community. I want to put the yard sign out NOW in order to somewhat counter the hundreds of Kerry signs dotting the landscape. As I said, I am surrounded by Democrats who really ought to know better. I am trying to teach them a thing or two.

A question for unclewest...

I have never seen any news article about the propriety of a soldier (Kerry) taking his own video camera to the battlefield. Is this common and is it legal
as far as the military is concerned?

The recent capture of a computer owned by a Muslim terrorist (Kahn?) shows
sensitive information in the enemys hands can be damaging. Same goes for
Kerry's camera I would think.

A Nam Vet lives in each of those homes. Unlike Kerry, they are not asking for hero status

Through my time in the service and afterwards I've talked with many, many vets. I have never in my life before JFK seen a hero want to be labeled as such. In fact in my experience the harder the combat the person saw the less they want to discuss it. REMF's are the only folks I've ever seen carry on about their service.

Kerry put this 4 month period of time on the front burner and I have little doubt he is going to wish to hell he had not.
