There are, of course, some who question whether all of his purple hearts were warranted and others who say, effectively admitting the point about his injuries being minor, that many service men received purple hearts for similar injuries. In any case, whether he deserved them or not is a matter of opinion, not a matter of fact. The only facts are that he received them.
